| Annual General Meeting kicks off season 2008/09 | updated June 15, 2008 | Favourite son Brett Rowe back as Chairman of Selectors
Annual General Meeting kicks off season 2008/09 A well attended Annual General Meeting voted President Richard Jones a life member. In a good night for the club all of last years executive signed on for the coming season except for Chairman of the Match Committee, Jim Finlayson. Time commitments prevent Jim continuing in the role and we thank him for his efforts. Richard Jones signed on for his second year as President, Barry Cull, George Tsatas, Charlie Simms and Shayne McBride all return in their current executive roles and Nick Weetman formally joins the Executive after helping out with the social role last year. This is coupled with captain coach Daniel Lear signing up again and the return of favourite son Brett Rowe. Rowey formalised his return at the Annual General Meeting where he was elected Chairman of Selectors for the season ahead. In other news from the meeting the club has adopted a new membership subscription structure with cheaper upfront fees. The club also continued its strong financial performance of recent years and recorded a small profit for the season. | |
